Hey World,
Welcome to The Run World: State College. My name is Brit and I'm an avid runner that needs a place to share my running adventures and race training with someone (anyone) willing to listen. Beside this blog being a tell-all release, I hope to make it a way to catalog my runs, my training, my adventures, my races, and most importantly, my motivation. In the process, you may even find that by tagging along on my runs serves as motivation for you and your running adventures.
However, there are some things you should know before you read on.
First, I'm a college student. Senior at Penn State University - Main Campus, living (and loving) State College, PA. Hence, the title of the blog. Anyone pick up on the similarity of my title to MTV's The Real World? I'm so clever.
Second, I'm a Kinesiology major and a working Personal Trainer. I will be graduating in May and thereafter, plan to continue to personal train, teach fitness classes, and move up the ladder at my current place of employment.
But fear not, with all of that fitness background, don't get it in your head that I'm some jacked, super fit, ultra-healthy human being that can run forever and workout for hours on end. Quite the contrary. I have never been any of those things. However, I have a passion for running, exercising, and treating my body with respect through regular physical activity and healthy eating habits. I'm not perfect - I'm a college student after all - but I do bring a lot of useable knowledge to the table, thanks to my amazing education (WE ARE..) and my thirst for the latest health news.
With all of that said, I am extremely excited to begin this blogging adventure amidst all the other things going on in my life. I hope you're interested in tagging along.
